Yosemite, OneDrive for Business and Office 2016 Preview… making it work.

Came across a couple issues with OneDrive for Business and the new Office preview… here’s what I learned:

If you are having trouble with OneDrive for Business refusing to sync on the Mac, open your personal site in a browser and go to Recycle Bin. Sometimes, purging a troublesome file (invalid character, etc) will trigger sync to work again.

With Office 2016 installed, I’ve noticed that the Microsoft Upload Center is now handling file sync for certain document types to OneDrive for Business. If you notice that files are not updating, try purging the cached files as shown below.

Click Delete Files to empty the cache:


You’ll know it’s done when the button is greyed out:
